global warming Global Warming is the increase of the average temperature of the earth’s atmosphere or an overall increase in the world temperature which may be caused by additional heat being trapped by greenhouse gases. Is also defined as the progressive gradual rise of the earth’s surface temperature thought to be caused by the greenhouse effect and responsible for changes in global climate patterns.

Global warming are causes of carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuel burning power plants, carbon dioxide emissions from burning gasoline for transportation, methane emissions from animals, agriculture such as rice paddies, and from Arctic seabeds, deforestation especially tropical forests for wood, pulp. and farmland, increase in usage of chemical fertilizers on croplands and rise in sea levels worldwide. Many of these causes are of human irresponsibility and because of human usage. In effect of this are, there will be more killer storms, massive crop failures, widespread extinction of species and disappearance of coral reefs. The five deadliest effects of global warming are spread of disease, warmer wastes and more hurricanes, increased probability and intensity of droughts and heat waves, economic consequences and polar ice caps melting.

Global warming is already happening today. The climate change that we are experiencing is due to global warming. The rise of the temperature that is now happening is one of the signs of this.

There are several solutions that we can do right in our homes in order to help global warming from continuing.

*First would be to replace frequently used light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs.

*Second is to run your dishwasher only with a full load

*Improve your hot-water setup

*Don’t leave the water running

*Maintain your HVAC system (heating, ventilating and air conditioning)

*Replace old appliances

*Bring back the clothes line

*Weatherize your home

*Improve your home’s insulation

Prevention could also be done. And this also helps in our problem today. Preventions can be drive less or take a bike instead of cars to avoid pollution, clean or replace filters monthly, choose energy-efficient appliances, decrease air travel, cut down garbage by buying fewer packaged materials, unplug electronics when not in use, plant a tree, use nontoxic cleaning products and eat less meat and more organic foods.

By doing all of these tips, you can help save the earth from global warming. If all of us will be doing this, we surely can stop climate change and global warming from spreading. Help save the earth now.
