200 slaughtered in Nigeria (Muslim Vs. Christian)

Some 200 corpse  - children, including a four year old baby;  man woman and even  an old lady – were found in the streets as a truck carrying these bodies dumped them forming a mass grave.

The said inhuman killings of the victim was done last Sunday. The victims, moreover, are mostly Christians which comes from different walks of life. Thus, suspicions point to a Muslim group. Red Cross spokesman Robin Waubo shared that the incident is said to be a reprisal attack remembering the bloody incident on January killing some 300, mostly Muslims.

As the bodies were dumped, a group of people began singing with “Jesus said I am the way to heaven” and “Jesus show me the way.” This is said to be an addition to the worsening attacks between the Christian and Muslims in Nigeria, Africa.

Figures say that some 61 corpses with 32 children are found in the village of Dogo Nahawa whilst others are said to buried in different places in the crime place. Plateau State spokesman Gregory Yenlong said that the number of death tolls are still expected to rise as they examine the different places nearing the crime place. “Soldiers are patrolling and everywhere remains calm … We are estimating 500 people killed but I think it should be a little bit above that,” he relayed.

The victims are said to have suffered before killed. The bodies of some children are said to be tangled while those young ones appeared to have been scalped. There are also those who have severed hands and feet. Notably, one woman victim is alleged to be raped as she appeared to be stripped below the waist, but is then placed with a strip of black cloth.

Acting President Goodluck Jonathan said that he will “undertake strategic initiatives to confront and defeat these roving bands of killers”. He added that tight security will be posted along Plateau’s borders so that no outsider can enter its boundary especially those with more weapons and fighters. Prior to that, some 100 soldiers were seen at Jos entrance.
