Cell Phones: Advantages and Disadvantages
New technologies are emerging today. Cell phones are the best examples for this. Cell phones are also known as cellular, wireless and mobile phones. Cell phones are useful and is part of our day to day life. Its main purpose is communication, transmit and receive communication to and from another wireless device.
Handy and easy to use. You can use it any time and anywhere. It is easier to communicate nowadays because of cell phones. Important calls, text messaging are already part of our lives. But I tell you, as many as advantages of cell phones, same as the disadvantages that comes with it. The disadvantages of cell phones can be, first, it is costly. It is costly because you have to pay for you to make a call. Adding costs would be text messaging, downloading ring tones, and some hardware that you have to buy. Second would be distraction. It is a big distraction specially in class. It can ring in the middle of a class, bookstores, concerts, plays, libraries and even in a court room. It will distract not just your concentration but every people inside that particular room or wherever you may be. Third, in driving. Causes in vehicular accidents is due to cell phone uses. Using it while driving will give you a high risk of getting into accident. Fourth will be health.
Cell phones has low levels of radio frequency radiation that heat and damage tissue. This is said to effect in some time to diseases such as cancer, headaches, memory loss,and sleep problems. Other disadvantages of cell phones will be lack of privacy. People use it everywhere and anywhere. You talk over your cell phone even in a crowded place, you talk to the person in the other line and you really have to speak enough for the other line to hear you and that will make other people hear what your saying and by listening to it,they will know more about something private in you and on the other person, it will destroy your privacy and the other persons privacy as well. The last disadvantage that a cell phone may cause is no isolation. You can no longer have any excuse for some time. Everyone will get to call you even if you want to rest and be alone in that moment.
Lots and lots of disadvantages but we can’t deny the fact that cell phones nowadays are important to each and every one of us.
