Vitamins nutrition contributes the most in our health and wellness. There are numerous reasons why we need vitamins everyday which will be outlined in this article.

Our nutrition supports life within the cells in our body. Vitamins are part of this nutrition, consumed in the form of food or supplements, and are needed for us to perform everyday functions. Nutrients such as amino acids, minerals, glucose, or fatty acids are not vitamins. Vitamins cannot be naturally produced by our bodies so we need to obtain them from food or a supplement. There are 13 different vitamins, which include A, C, D, E, K, and 8 different B vitamins.

Five servings of fruit and vegetables everyday are required by our body so that vitamins and minerals are provided to us sufficiently. Most people do not take this recommended amount in their nutrition, either because fresh fruits and vegetables are not available near the places they live, or they do not like eating these altogether. Also, most of the fruit and vegetables we buy today, don’t have the same nutrients as they used to have years ago. Research shows that deficiencies of these vitamins increase the risks of getting diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, osteoporosis, and cancer. By taking these vitamins, we can reduce such risks. Therefore, it is very important for us to eat fruits and vegetables or to take vitamins in the form of supplements, also termed as vitamins nutrition supplements. These nutrition supplements will keep our body’s to function properly and keep us healthy.

Each vitamin in our nutrition has its own role to play in different parts of the body healthy. Vitamin A is needed for a healthy eyesight, along with it antioxidant properties, and aids in maintaining normal skin health. Vitamin C keeps the body tissues and muscles healthy, along with increasing the body’s immunity. Vitamin D keeps our bones strong. Vitamin E keeps our heart healthy and stable and supports the defense systems. For a healthy nervous system, thiamin or vitamin B1 is essential, and it also helps the body metabolize carbohydrates and fat to produce energy. Niacin or vitamin B3 plays a role in more than 50 processes in the body. Vitamin B12 maintains healthy cells in our body. Folic acid and its supplements are recommended to women who are pregnant so as to protect against having a baby with a neural tube defect.

In this way, each vitamin has a role of its own in our body and is essential in nutrition for a healthy living. Vitamin deficiencies and diseases are linked together, and therefore, it is recommended that all adults take a multi-vitamin supplement or a vitamin nutrition supplement every day, along with having a proper nutrition.  It is important for all adults to get adequate intakes of vitamins because of the tremendously important role they play in the body.

Concluding, the role vitamins play in keeping our bodies healthy and well are vastly significant, and we can obtain many benefits if we consume optimum vitamins nutrition every day, so we can reduce the risk of disease and keep healthy.
