Micheal Jordan is an American professional basketball player and an active businessman as well. He has lots of accomplishments in basketball.

Michael Jeffrey Jordan popularly known as Michael Jordan was born on February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York and is now 47 years old. Has a height of 6 ft. and 6 inches. His jersey numbers are 23, 45 and 9. He is the shooting guard of the team that made him very popular as well. His career made him famous from 1984 to 2003. Studied in the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he led his team to National Championship in 1982. During his basketball career, he joined the team Chicago Bulls from 1984 to 1993 and 1995 to 1998. He also joined Washington Wizards from 2001 to 2003.

Michael Jordan became so famous because he is a potential basketball player. He gained lots of awards and some of the highlights in his career include the following:

NBA Champion, NBA MVP, NBA All-Star, NBA Finals MVP, NBA Defensive Player of the Year, All-NBA First Team, All-NBA Second Team, NBA All-Defensive First Team, NBA Rookie of the Year, NBA All-Rookie Team, NBA All-Star Game MVP, NBA Slam Dunk Contest Winner, Gold Medal winner in the Olympics, NBA’s 50th Anniversary All-Time Team, NCAA Men’s Basketball Champion, NCAA All-American First Team, ACC Freshman of the Year, ACC Men’s Basketball Player of the Year, USBWA College Player of the Year, Naismith College Player of the Year, John R. Wooden Award, Adolph Rupp Trophy, Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year, 2000 ESPY Athlete of the Century, 1900s ESPY Male Athlete Decade Award and 1900s ESPY Pro Basketballer Decade Award.

Michael Jordan decided to retire for 2 times. The first time he announced his retirement was on October 6, 1993 giving the reason that he loss desire to play the game and later on stated that the murder of his father shaped his decision. His second retirement was on January 13, 1999. Jordan returned to the NBA but not as a player but as part time owner and as President of Basketball Operations for the Washington Wizards. Jordan announced his return on September 25, 2001 as a professional player with the Wizards and indicated the reason to donate his salary for a relief effort for the victims of September 11, 2001 attack.

Michael Jordan was very popular during his career and became the most talked about basketball player until now.
