The Bundesliga club announced that the Brazilian midfielder Diego is set to join Wolfsburg from Juventus on Friday. He underwent a medical on Wednesday at the Bundesliga club.
The 25-year-old has agreed a four-year deal with Wolfsburg for a fee of 15 million euros.
The Brazilian joined Juventus a year ago from Werder Bremen for 25 million euros but struggled to score goals.
Diego spent three years in Werder Bremen and scored 38 goals in 84 league games, but at Juventus he scored just 5 goals in 33 games.
On Thursday VfL Wolfsburg manager Dieter Hoeness said, “We have signed the transfer agreement with Juventus. This evening we expect Diego’s father (his agent) to sign the deal Wolfsburg.”
