Miners enjoy the shades; Oakley relishes the publicity!!!

2

Category : World

The Chilean miners who recently came out from the underground after 69 days in darkness made it to top news across the world. Everyone watched as one miner after the other emerged safe and sound from a living nightmare.

It was advised by doctors that the miners should protect their eyes from sunlight when they come out of the darkness. As they had been living in total black out for so long, it was feared that their retinas could be damaged if exposed to direct sunlight at once.

Oakley decided to gift these miners pairs of stylish shades with 100 percent protection from UV rays. These shades are priced in the market at $180 so the miners were definitely happy with their gifts.

In exchange, Oakley got a great deal of exposure and publicity from this gesture. Everyone who watched the live coverage that day noticed the suave shades that the miners were wearing and Oakley was the talk of the town!
