Combining sustainability, functionality and style, the Glyndebourne eco-friendly alfresco dining range is the perfect way to add a touch of elegance this summer. The collection features a pattern based on the ceiling design of the Organ Room at Glyndebourne, constructed by Glyndebourne founder John Christie one hundred years ago.
It was here that the first musical performances at Glyndebourne took place out of which grew the Glyndebourne Festival.
The bespoke range includes everything you need for the ultimate picnic experience. Reusable bamboo fibre plates and bowls, along with a travel water bottle and table linen, come together to make the essential picnic edit which can be carried around safely and securely in the two cooler bags and bottle carrier.
Picnicking is a unique and traditional part of the Glyndebourne experience and there is nothing quite like a lazy summer picnic in the gardens at Glyndebourne or in the British countryside.
Or why not enjoy the al fresco dining range at home this summer with the launch of Glyndebourne Encore, its new online streaming platform broadcasting of some of Glyndebourne’s best-loved and future productions.
What’s your jam, Cosi fan Tutti-Frutti perhaps?
Developed exclusively for Glyndebourne, the Glyndebourne Condiment Collection is a collaboration with Julian Warrender, founder of multi-award winning Ouse Valley Foods, and artist Ann Edwards who has created illustrations for Waitrose magazine. The jams, chutneys and marmalades are a blend of creativity and sophistication that meet the discerning taste of the Glyndebourne audience.
Ouse Valley Foods was founded in 2004 by Julian Warrender, who is renowned for her innovation and creativity in making award-winning preserves. The company is based in East Sussex, close to the River Ouse from where they get their name. As much as possible their produce comes from local growers so as to ensure authenticity and quality and each batch is cooked in small numbers to safeguard quality. Ouse Valley Foods value the country-side abundance – berries and blossoms are considerately picked and used to flavour and spike jellies and jams creating unique blends and colours.
The Glyndebourne al fresco dining range and condiments are available to purchase through their online shop.
