Wentworth Ambassadors announced to Celebrate International Puzzle Day

This last year more than ever before, the world has been thankful for puzzles. Keeping us entertained, mentally stimulated and challenged during multiple lockdowns, their benefits have never been more appreciated.

More people than ever will therefore be joining in on Friday 29th January 2021 to celebrate International Puzzle Day – a day to celebrate all forms of puzzles, whether it be crosswords, sudoku or of course, jigsaw puzzles!

British wooden jigsaw company, Wentworth Wooden Puzzles, is marking this important day in the puzzle calendar by announcing their new Puzzle Ambassadors – officially appointed puzzle enthusiasts who spread the love and joy of jigsaw puzzles.

The search began on social media on 3rd November, UK National Jigsaw Day – a day itself founded by the company 5 years ago. Wentworth spread the word via social media, that they were looking for ambassadors to help promote the benefits of puzzling. They were looking for puzzle fanatics worldwide, those with a highly engaged social media following or someone with a popular puzzle group, that help people to connect and share their love of jigsaw puzzles.

The successful ambassadors would become part of the extended Wentworth family, helping test new products and puzzle innovations, and reviewing jigsaw designs from seasonal releases.

By the closing date of New Year’s Day, Wentworth had received over 200 applications from puzzle lovers of all ages, from all over the world. In addition, they are also reaching out to others who have been long term supporters of the brand, and whose values closely align with theirs, such as those who advocate sustainability, eco-friendly shopping and British-made products.

“We have received so many wonderful applications and it’s going to be hard to narrow it down to just a select few. Whoever we choose, we are really looking forward to welcoming our new ambassadors to the Wentworth Family, and watching them help others find joy in puzzling.”

– Sarah Watson, Managing Director, Wentworth Wooden Puzzles

The new ambassadors will be announced via Wentworth’s social media channels on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, on 29th January 2021.
